Have you ever been to a gig where the bass is so loud it made your hair vibrate, your face hurt and the earth below your feet literally move? No, well it’s clear you’ve never seen The Prodigy live.
The bane of sound level inspectors across the globe, this is a band who kick more rock ass than Metallica, out punk the Sex Pistols and have ravers and indie kids throwing energetic shapes on dancefloors everywhere. No other band has ever so successfully mixed samples and riffs.
Only The Prodigy, who hail from achingly politically correct Britain, could release a single called ‘Smack My Bitch Up’, have it banned and still get it in the top ten. If you don’t leave this gig wanting to smash stuff up then it’s clear you just weren’t listening.
Joined by Scottish drug monsters, Primal Scream, (who make Danny Boyle’s Trainspotters look like a bunch of girls), there’s never been a clearer invitation to get loaded and have a good time.
